What is the Brain Bee?
The Brain Bee is kind of like a spelling bee, but with students competing to demonstrate their knowledge of neuroscience! Prior to each year’s competition, the Atlanta Brain Bee offers workshops to help students prepare for the competition.
The Brain Bee is a terrific opportunity for students who are interested in neuroscience and want to learn more. In addition, The top three finishers of the Atlanta Regional Brain Bee receive monetary prizes.
National and International Competitions
The champion of each regional Brain Bee is invited to compete in the annual USA Brain Bee and that champion is sent to the annual International Brain Bee to represent the United States of America.
Who is Eligible to Compete in the Atlanta Brain Bee?
- Georgia students aged 13 to 19
- Students from neighboring states that do not host Brain Bees may also compete with advance approval.
- All competitors may only compete in one regional Brain Bee per year.
